Entertainment Software Association (ESA)

The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) is a United States based association that serves the needs of computer and video game companies. In particular, the ESA offers services to these companies, such as information about legal issues surrounding video games/computer games, anti-piracy regulations, and current video game research.

The ESA also owns and runs the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), a yearly, “premiere,” computer and video game industry trade show, where industry professionals gather to showcase new products such as gaming consoles, gaming peripherals and, of course, video games. At E3, these companies also market their products and provide insight into the upcoming year’s trends.

The related tabs provide more information and links about the ESA, with a specific focus on their perspective on issues surrounding video games, freedom of speech, and aggression.
